Educational Team

We seek to share the love of God by offering educational opportunities that nourish the basic teachings of our faith, as well as help us grow spiritually in the awareness and workings of God in our lives and our world.

Sunday School

Sunday Christian education classes for children Preschool through Fifth grades. The education classes begin between 10:10am and 10:15am Sunday mornings after children are dismissed from the worship service, following the children's sermon.

Kid's Church

Offered to young children, grades Preschool through Third, at the Sunday morning worship time during the summer months. Lesson and activities focus on the Sunday morning Scripture readings shared in the worship service.

Confirmation Classes

Classes offered for junior high aged youth over a three year period that study the basic teachings of the Christian faith based on Martin Luther's Small Catechism. Sixth grade level meets on the first and third Sundays of the month. Seventh and Eighth grades meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 7:00 - 8:30pm.

Vacation Bible School

Offered for children from Preschool through Fifth grades. Meets for one week in August, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Dates to be announced. Contact us for more information.

Baptism Instructional Class

A class for parents, sponsors, and those preparing for the baptism designed to help them understand the meaning of baptism. Offered as needed.

First Communion Class

A class for children, fifth grade or older, to help them prepare for receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Offered in the weeks before Easter.

Lutheran Information Class

A class for those desiring to know more about the Lutheran Church and its teachings. Offered as needed.

Women's Bible Study

Looks at various biblical topics. Offered during the Woman's Group meeting on the first Thursday of the month during the school year, at 11:00am.

Adult Discussion Group

Discusses the thought of contemporary Christian theologians and the relevance of Christianity for the 21st Century. Meets on the third Sunday of the month at 6:30pm, during the school year.

Spiritual Class for Special Adults

This class offers fellowship and spiritual nurture for mentally challenged adults within our community on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The time is filled with Bible study, crafts, music and a light snack. If you know someone who would benefit from this program please call the church office.
